VERY Important Inferno Competition Information!

VERY Important Inferno Competition Information!

1) CHANGE OF LOCATION!! (due to broken fire sprinkler- if you attended HV, you may find this funny)

"Hello!

Our team was just informed that due to a ruptured fire sprinkler, the construction occurring at Aurora Central's auditorium has had to be put on hold and they will not be able to host our event.

The good news is that they were able to quickly and easily move our event over to Hinkley High School which is only a little over 10 minutes away from Aurora Central. We'll be updating our website and DanceCompGenie with the new details shortly!

Best,

Philip Stranathan

2) Code of Conduct (maybe they had some drama at the last one?)

"Hello,

Our fifteenth season has certainly kicked off with a bang! We've thoroughly enjoyed the start of this season and are so excited to see the talent that is set to join us in our upcoming cities.

As we continue through our season with more events and valued clients than ever before, we would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone of our code of conduct at events as listed on our website:

All routines MUST be appropriate for family viewing. Any routines with suggestive or inappropriate movements, costumes, and/or lyrics may be scored lower by judges or disqualified.

Similarly, all dancers, teachers, and parents are expected to act in a professional, respectful manner. Failure to do so may result in score deductions, disqualification, or removal from the event.

Inferno Dance reserves the right to deny registration/entry to an event based on any actions deemed as misconduct or in violation of Inferno policies. Failure to comply with Inferno's code of conduct and policies may result in inability to attend future events.

Smoking, alcoholic substances, and drugs are prohibited in or around the competition area. We ask that all smokers stand at least 50 yards from the competition venue to preserve the well-being of our dancers, audience members, and our staff members.

Specifically, we would like to highlight the policies bolded above. We take great pride and work diligently to ensure the environment at Inferno events is safe, secure, and enjoyable for all who attend. As such, when conduct policies are violated, it breaks the trust that you put in us to ensure your dancers feel safe and seen.

By agreeing to attend our events you are agreeing to adhere to our policies and procedures, so we would like to politely ask that you forward this email to your families and attendees to ensure that all in attendance have received a copy of it and are aware of the code of conduct. Although it is published on our website (RULES | Inferno Dance), we are aware that not everyone reads every bit of information on every competition they attend.

We also would like to be clear that we have a zero-tolerance policy for hateful speech at our events and should such offenses be confirmed through investigation and reporting, we may remove the offending parties from the event in accordance with our policies.

Thank you so much for joining us this year, our team is so grateful for the turnout we've seen for our fifteenth season so far and we're excited to close it out even stronger than we started. If you have questions regarding your event, or our content and conduct policies, please feel free to email me at info@infernodance.com. "

3) Schedule

Inferno competition will begin 4:30 pm Friday evening and end 9 pm Saturday night. There is no Sunday competition on our tentative schedule. However, whether or not the location change changes the schedule, I don't know yet, but doesn't sound like it will. As soon as I get the final schedule, I will send it out:)
